Alan Becker
Alan Courtley Becker, 69, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 5, 2016. Alan was born September 9, 1947 in Auburn, New York. He was a veteran of the U.S Army and served during the Vietnam conflict. Alan loved building model cars, ships and airplanes. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Katherine McDaniel Becker; son, Anthony Thomas Becker and grandson, Jonathan Becker of Ooltewah, TN; brothers, Robert Becker of Fyffe, AL, James Becker of Fyffe, AL, David Becker of Newnan, GA, Stephen Becker of Minocqua, WI and Kevin Becker of Concord, GA; sisters, Carol Parker of Auburn, NY, Marge Darrow of Tyro, NC, Barbara Wilks of Kernersville, NC, Janice Simpson of Fresno CA, Cheryl Hanson of Newnan, GA and Kathleen Breese of Auburn, NY; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 12, 2016 from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 3067 Ooltewah-Ringgold Road, Ooltewah TN. Service will follow at 1:00 PM with Bishop David Avery and several other speakers officiating. Graveside service will follow at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.
