Alicia Dawn
Barnes
Nov 7, 1979 — Jul 25, 2025
Alicia Dawn Barnes, 45, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025. Alicia attended Central High School in Harrison TN. She was a kind and gentle soul, known for her warmth, creativity, and infectious spirit. Alicia's life was defined by her passion for making art. Whether it was sketching her latest drawings, using intricate stencils, or crafting jewelry with beads, she always had a hand in making something beautiful. Her artistic flair was a reflection of her personality: bright, vibrant, and full of life.
Music was another essential part of Alicia's life. She had a deep love for her favorite songs, often singing along, her voice as full of energy and emotion as her art. Whether she was alone or surrounded by friends, music was her companion.
Alicia's love for animals was also a part of who she was. She had a special bond with creatures, big and small, and took great joy in their comfort and companionship. Her friends, both human and animal, were her cherished family.
She will always be remembered not only for her artistic talents, but also for her infectious laughter, gentle heart, and ability to make everyone around her feel special. Alicia's memory will live on in the art she created, the songs she sang, and the love she gave to her loved ones.
One of the most memorable things about Alicia was her amazing smile. She wore it proudly, a symbol of her joy, kindness, and inner light. Her smile was contagious—brightening every room she entered, bringing warmth to everyone around her. It made anyone lucky enough to see it feel instantly uplifted.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jimmy" Richard Correll; grandfather, William Karl Barnes, Jr.; grandmother, Nancy Lee Gerrard Barnes; uncle, Michael Barnes, and fur baby, Stormer.
Alicia is survived by her children, James Taylor Correll, Allison Correll and Zachary Walston; mother, Karla Barnes; uncle, Larry Barnes; aunt, Cathy Barnes; grandson, James Kash Correll, and best friend, Chase McArthur.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Bobby Walston officiating.
