Ann Cornelius, 91, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018. She was a member of Brainerd Hills Baptist Church for over 20 years. Ann was also an avid gardener and bird watcher. She was very involved in the ministry of the church over the years and she dearly loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Earl; parents, John and Annie Looney; brothers, J.P., James, and Charles Looney; sister, Inez Benson; son-in-law, Oscar C. Gann and great-granddaughter, Lauren Bonnema.
Ann is survived by her daughters, Deborah Gann and Janet (Danny) Robinette; grandson, Bryan (Jonna) Gann; granddaughter, Kristen (David) Hill; great-grandson, Michael Bonnema; great-great-granddaughter, Ashlyn E. Bonnema; step-grandchildren, Megan Suttles, Garrett (Missy) Robinette,Garrett (Kelsey) Hill, Byron (Katie) Hill, Alaina and Aaron Hill; step-great-grandchildren, Chagan and Ava Reece Suttles; nieces and nephews, Pam (George) Wagner, Marty Rodgers, Sylvia Evans, Sheila (Steve) Looney Wren, Ronald and Jimmy Looney; special extended family, Patsy and Ashley (Josh) Gann, James Bramblett.
The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice of Chattanooga and the Crisis Care Unit. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of Chattanooga Critical Care Unit.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 17, 2018 from 12-2 p.m at Turner Funeral Home. The funeral will follow the conclusion of the visitation at 2 p.m. in the Turner Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Richard Mason officiating. Ann will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery next to her husband Earl.
