Barbara Monger

Barbara Monger, 86, of Harrison, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017. She retired from DuPont after 30 years of service and was a member of Ware Branch Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Lena Peek Scroggins; husband, Robert Lee "R.L." Monger, Jr.; daughter, Scarlett Fay "Pebbles" Malone.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Sheila Kay Ward and son-in-law, Oscar "Big O" Ward, of Ooltewah; brother, Lloyd (Bobbie) Scroggins, of Chattanooga; granddaughter, Kim (Tom) Rader, of Ooltewah; great granddaughter, Alexis Green, of Ooltewah; step grandson, Coby Rader; niece, Sandra (Ralph) Smith; nephews, Harry and Lloyd (Ann) Scroggins Jr.; great nieces, Tami Scroggins and Andrea (Dean) Krech; great nephew, Eddie (Jill) Stone; several other nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 19, 2017 from 11:00 am- 1:00 pm in the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm at New McDonald Cemetery with Minister John Cupp officiating. Barbara will be laid to rest next to her husband, "R.L.".
