Benford Bruce
Behre, Iii
Apr 4, 1977 — Dec 18, 2021
Benford Bruce Behre, III, 44, passed away suddenly of a prolonged illness at his father's home in Andersonville on Saturday morning, December 18, 2021. He graduated from Coffee County Central High School in 1995 and attended Middle TN State University. For many years Bruce worked in management at several Walmart stores in Middle Tennessee. After being diagnosed with MS and no longer able to work, Bruce began carving walking canes and hiking sticks that he sold at craft shows. He enjoyed woodworking immensely and enjoyed even more the people he met at the craft shows he attended. Bruce loved SEC football and was a loyal Alabama fan. He had a love of music and enjoyed playing his guitar. He was an excellent cook, had worked as a chef while attending college, and loved to prepare meals for the family. His children, Victoria and Alex, were the most important part of his life and he was happiest anytime he could spend time with them.
Bruce was preceded in death by his grandparents, Benford Bruce and Susie Behre, Sr. and Roy D. Stokes.
He is survived by his daughter, Victoria Behre Denby; son, Alex Behre; father, Benford Bruce Behre II (Margie); mother, Darlene Stokes; brothers, Jeff McDaniel and Steve McDaniel, and grandmother, Mattie Stokes.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 9, 2021 from noon – 2 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Steve Granger and Pastor Chris Anderson officiating.
The family will also have a private graveside service at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma, TN on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 2 p.m.
The family requests contributions to the Behre College Fund instead of floral tributes. Donation cards will be available at the funeral home with information. If unable to attend, please call the funeral home for information.
Please share your memories and express your condolences to the family on their guestbook.
