Bernice Doris Herndon, 90, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025.  She was of the Christian faith and a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church.  Bernice was a wonderful mother, and amazing homemaker and a devout Christian.  She loved cooking and cherished her family and friends.  Bernice enjoyed driving and really missed it when she no longer could.  She raised four children and built a loving home with her husband, James.  Bernice will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband 46 years, James Herndon, and son, Brian Herndon.

Bernice is survived by her sons, Kevin Herndon (Michele) and Mark Herndon; daughter, Kim Clark; sisters, Olivia Andrews (Jack) and Vivian Barker (Jackie); six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service for family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 11 a.m. behind Gamble Road Baptist Church in Holder Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Ronnie Dotson officiating.
