Betty Baxter, 85, of Harrison, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018. She was born to Charles and Lena Leamon on January 14, 1933. She was a lifelong Baptist.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Baxter; son, Glenn David Ford; daughter, Kaye Barnett; 3 brothers and 1 sister.

She is survived by her sons; Richard (Rachel) Ford and Tommy Baxter; daughters, Becky (Tom) Packer, Faye Jones, and Linda Padgett; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 3 brothers; 1 sister, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty was an animal lover and a wonderful cook. Her greatest love in life was her family. She retired from Buster Brown after many years.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, March 30, 2018 from 3-8 pm in the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 2 pm with Glenn Moseley officiating. Mrs. Baxter will be laid to rest in Bald Hill Cemetery.
