Betty Moody Blum

Betty Jean Moody Blum, 86, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017. She was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, a former member of New Haven Baptist Church and current member of Friendship Baptist Church. Mrs. Blum was a member of Mother Patrol for 5 years and retired from Service Merchandise.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tracy and Zoah Harbison Hunt; first husband, George Moody Jr.; sister Helen Hunt Mitcham; brother, Harry Hunt.
Mrs. Blum is survived by her husband, Rodney Blum of Chattanooga; son, George (Patty) Moody of Harrison; daughter, Brenda (Michael Combs Sr.) of Chattanooga; sister, Mirium Mobley of Illinois; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at 6:00 PM in the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with DR. Michael Combs Sr., Pastor Michael Combs Jr. and Rev. Bill Broom officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until the hour of service at 6:00 PM. Burial will be private.
