Betty Rogers Scoggins

Betty Jean Rogers Scoggins, 85, of Harrison, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, February 25, 2017. She was a dedicated wife and loving mother. She was a faithful member of Greenwood Baptist Church for over 34 years.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. Arlie Rogers Sr.; second husband, Benton Scoggins; parents, Rev. Miles D. and Maude Garrett; brothers, Miles Garrett and Don Garrett; sisters, Evelyn Williams and Alice Lawrence.

She is survived by her son, Arlie (Julie) Rogers Jr.; daughter, Rochelle Rogers (Richard) Kirk; brother, David (Sue) Garrett; sisters, Norma Hitt, Peggy (Jim) Ledford, Mary Jo Gasior and Linda (Butch) Cook; grandchildren, Chris Kirk, Hannah Dickey, Arlie (Monique) Rogers III, Noah, Caleb and Elliott Rogers, Michael Scoggins and Houston Scoggins; great grandchildren, Bobby, Malia, Jayla and Azzarra.

The funeral service will be on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Reverend James Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
