Brenda Monteiro, 75, passed away on July 23, 2021.  She was of the Baptist faith, and attended Maple Grove Baptist Church.  Brenda enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening, and shopping with her sister.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Monteiro; parents, Clarence and Dolly Pennington; brother, Carroll Pennington; sisters, Delores Christeen Harris and Juanita Ratliff, and brother-in-law, Robert Beene.

Brenda is survived by her daughter, Gloria (Kenneth) Carver; brother, Jeffrey (Tonya) Pennington; sister, Ola Mae Beene; grandchildren, Joseph Carver, and Michael (Brittany) Carver, and great-grandchildren, Madalyn Carver, Chloee Carver, and Michael Carver, Jr.; nephews, Dean Pennington, Charles Beene, Nathan Beene, Kenneth Pennington, and William Cordell; nieces, Judith Martin, and Pamela Ensley.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 from 10 a.m. – noon at Turner Funeral Home, Hwy 58 Chapel.  A graveside will follow at Harrison Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. with Pastor Ronnie Dotson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Maple Grove Baptist Church, 9525 Birchwood Pike, Harrison, TN 37341.
