Carolyn Gilliam, 76, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026. She was a resident of Ooltewah, TN and a 1967 graduate of Ooltewah High School. Carolyn was employed as an administrator with Erlanger, retiring after 27 years. She loved shopping and spending time with her family.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Jerry Gilliam; son, Jeffery Gilliam and her parents, Frank and Ora Harden.

She is survived by her daughter, Sonja Gilliam (Keith Gorski); brothers, Charles “Chuck” Harden and John Harden; sister, Sheila Harden; grandchildren, Jhordan Gilliam Baldwin, Jeffery Tyler Gilliam and Kolbi Alan Reed; great-grandchildren, Ashtin Baldwin, Whillow Baldwin, Brecklynn Reed, Masin Baldwin, Wranglin Reed, Paisley Reed, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 13, 2026 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Tom McGuirt officiating.

Carolyn will be laid to rest in New McDonald Cemetery with her husband, Jerry.
