Charles D. Baker, 74, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.  He was born on April 28, 1949 in Spring City, TN to Charlie and Alta Baker.  Charles was a metal fabricator by trade.  He enjoyed sitting on the riverbank fishing, and BBQing with his favorite beer and beloved four-legged friend, Red.  Charles also loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Alta Baker; sister, Jeanette Johnson and brother-in-law, Herman Johnson.

Charles is survived by his daughters, Jo Ann Stanford (Joey) and Jeanette Briggs (Kasey); brother, J.R. Baker (Sheila); grandchildren, Austin Edwards (Jay) and Avery Wilkinson (Owen Crump); great-granddaughter, Scarlette, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to especially thank nephews, Chuck Johnson and Joseph Johnson, as well as the staff of Lifecare Center of Red Bank for their kindness and care.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home @ Hwy 58.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks family and friends to do an act of kindness and pay it forward.
