Obituary

Charles Junior Harbin, 70, passed away on July 29, 2019. He was born in Kingston, TN and a member of Faith Baptist Church. Mr. Harbin was in the United States Army having served with the 101st Airborne and the 1 st Battalion, 321 st Artillery in Vietnam. He was awarded the Commendation Medal and was honorably discharged in 1970. He loved working on cars and bass fishing. Junior was a wonderful husband, provider and father, loved by everyone he met. He is already greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Annie Harbin; sister, Susie Harbin and brother, Eddie Harbin.

Junior is survived by his wife of 51 years, Paula; son, Brad Harbin; brother, George Harbin; sisters, Dora (John) Johnson, Mary (Larry) Tindale and Ida Buff; grandchild, McClaine "Pooky" and great-grandchild, Peyton Reese "Booger Man"; sister-in-law, Greta Prestwood, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 4, 2019 from 4 – 8 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home, Hwy 58. There will also be a visitation held on Monday, August 5, 2019 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the Turner Funeral Home chapel. Mr. Harbin will be buried at Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.
