Charles Huntoon

Charles Thurston "Bud" Huntoon, passed peacefully, Wednesday morning, June 15, at the home of his daughter, Linda, where he had lived with his wife for over 2 years. Bud was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He was born and lived his entire life in Chattanooga. As a member of the Church of Christ, he grew up at the congregation in Ridgedale. He attended other congregations including Tyner in most recent years, then finally the Ware Branch congregation in Harrison. Bud retired as an artist in advertising with Provident Life Insurance Company, now Unum, as well as doing free-lance work, and was an outstanding landscape artist. He was also a very talented golfer, known well around the Brainerd Golf and Country Club through the years.
He is survived by his wife of over 64 years, Marion; brother, Harry (Diana) Huntoon; 3 children, Linda Anderson, Debbie Huntoon and Kendrick Huntoon; 3 grandchildren, Eric (Karen) Parham, Angela (Jon) Ray and Christopher Parham; 4 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the Ware Branch Church of Christ on Birchwood Pike in Harrison, Tennessee on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at 4 pm. You may visit the online guest book @ www.turnerfamilyfuneralhome.com There will be no visitation or service at the funeral home.
