Obituary

Chuck Crawford, Jr., 71, of Harrison, Tennessee, passed away on March 5, 2025.  Chuck was a life-long Chattanooga resident.  He was born June 27, 1953, to Charles and Eda Mae Crawford.  Chuck spent his childhood at the ball fields and his adolescence on the basketball court.  He was a graduate of Tyner High School, Tennessee Temple, and Dallas Theological Seminary.  Chuck worked most of his life as a brick mason with his father and brothers' company Crawford and Sons Masonry, but he also served as an associate pastor at Meadowview Baptist Church and senior pastor at Germantown Road Community Church.  He loved good music, visiting with friends, and the Tennessee Vols. Go Big Orange!  His favorite Bible verse was II Corinthians 5:15 "…He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again."

Chuck was preceded in death by both of his parents, Charles and Eda Crawford, and his brother Don Scott.

He is survived by his wife, Charlene Crawford; daughter, Amber (Matt) Wentworth; son, Curtis (Mandi) Crawford; daughter, Andee (Ted) Richards; grandchildren, Maggie, Knox, Julie, and Cadeyn; sister, Sherrie (Richard) Shipley; brothers, Deaurhan and Jamie (Teresa) Crawford; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025 from 4 – 8 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home.
