Obituary

Clifford LeBron Banther, 72, passed away on January 31, 2020.  He was a customer service manager with Vitafoam for 40 years.  Mr. Banther was of the Baptist faith and a deacon at Greenwood Baptist Church.  He was manager of several music groups, including the Keystones, and the Impacts.  Clifford enjoyed his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  He was an avid steel guitar player and loved going to church and serving the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Austin and Jannie Elizabeth Banther and brother, Billy Jo Banther.

Mr. Banther is survived by his wife of 52 years, Brenda; son, Stacey LeBron (Lorie) Banther; daughter, Stephanie (Chris) McBryar; sisters, Eva Pelfrey and Charlotte Clayton Luffman; half-sister, Diane Barbee; half-brothers, Bobby (Jackie) Wardlaw and Glenn "Tag" (Peggy) Holder; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 4 - 8 p.m. at Greenwood Baptist Church 8529 Snow Hill Rd, Ooltewah, TN 37363 . The funeral service will also be held at Greenwood Baptist Church on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. with visitation from 1 p.m. until the time of the service with Reverend Chad Chandler officiating.  Mr. Banther will be laid to rest in Harrison Cemetery.
