Clifford Edward Wheeler, 77, passed on to his heavenly home on Sunday, August 11, 2019. He was born and raised in Pisgah, Alabama and spent most of his married life in Chattanooga with his wife of 45 years, Thelma Gann Wheeler.  Clifford was a loving and hardworking husband and father. He loved fishing, boating and being surrounded by his family. He retired from Cargill Flour Mill after 25 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith.

Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Edward and Vesta Patterson Wheeler; son, Daniel F Wheeler; sisters, Synobia Wheeler Woods and Willowdean Wheeler Bryant.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma Wheeler; sons, Clifton Eugene Wheeler and David (Dawn) Wheeler; sister-in-law Carolyn Moore; brothers-in-laws Richard and Johnny Gann; 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 16, 2019 from 10 a.m. – noon EST at Turner Funeral Home Hwy 58 Chapel.  The funeral service will follow at noon with Pastor Christopher Wiseman officiating.   Clifford will be laid to rest in Pisgah Cemetery in Pisgah, Alabama at 1:30 p.m. CST
