David C. Barnes, 66, of Chattanooga, TN passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025.  He was a 1977 graduate of East Ridge High School.  He worked as a land surveyor for many years in Chattanooga and Atlanta.  He also worked at Bennigan's restaurant in Chattanooga.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David W. Barnes and Judith P. Mullen.

Surviving are two siblings, his brother, Jeff (Marcia) Barnes of Flowery Branch, Ga and sister, Diana (David) Dill of Rock Hill, SC.  He is also survived by 5 nieces and nephews.

Chris, as he was called by family, was a lifelong Atlanta Braves fan.  He will be remembered for his love of animals, especially his pet bird, Mia.

There will be no visitation and burial will be private.
