Dewey Lewis

Dewey F "Willard" Lewis, 86, passed away on January 15, 2016. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and retired from the Hamilton County Highway Department. He had a lifetime love of Bluegrass music and was a regular fixture at jamming sessions and festivals around the south. He loved his tools and there was nothing that this man couldn't fix. He attended Spring Creek Church of God.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Josephine Lewis; sons, Dewey R "Duke"(Melissa) Lewis and Don A (Ethel) Lewis; brother, Joe Lee; sister, Martha; 2 grandsons and 2 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 17, 2016 from 2-6 p.m. at the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Bennie Mills officiating. Interment will be announced at a later date.
