Doratha Faye Bryson, 82, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019.  Doratha was of the Baptist faith and attended Calvary Memorial Baptist Church in Ringgold.  She loved her Lord, her pastor and church family.  She was a native of Baker Mountain, AL and retired from K-Mart after 15 years.  If there was only one thing that could be said about Doratha it was that she was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Ellen Sims; 5 brothers and a sister.

Doratha is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bill; son, Charles Bryson; Lisa (Steve) Smith; grandchildren, Heather Wilson and Lisa (Jesse) Jarrett and great-granddaughter Maggie Rose.

There will be visitation from 4 – 7 p.m. on Monday, January 7, 2019 at Turner Funeral Home @ Hwy 58.  There will also be visitation from noon – 2 p.m on Tuesday, January 8, 2019.  The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Eric Greeson officiating in the Turner Funeral Home Chapel.  Mrs. Bryson will be laid to rest in Lakewood Memory Gardens East.
