Edith Christine Hamilton Lance, 94, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022.  Christine was a woman of faith, and her greatest joy was her children and her grandchildren.  She was employed with several department stores, eventually retiring from Proffitt's.  Christine was a beautiful soul and the sweetest woman you'd ever meet.  She will be deeply missed.

Christine was preceded in death by her first husband, James William Hamilton; second husband, Nolan Lance; parents, Wilburn and Nettie Chamlee; five brothers, and three sisters.

She is survived by her sons, Jim (Debbie) Hamilton and Bryan (Dottie) Hamilton, daughter, Christie (Richard) Levi; grandchildren, Sarah (James) Hathcock, Matthew Hamilton (Mary Butera), and David Hamilton (Amber Clarkson), as well as great-grandchildren, J.J., Lilly, and Sawyer.

The family would like to give special thanks to Health Hospice and caregivers, Shari Buetow, Carol Taylor and Jessie Jumper for their compassionate and loving care with Christine these last few years.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 5, 2022 from 11 - 1 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home @ Hwy 58.  A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel.

Christine will be laid to rest in Chattanooga National Cemetery with her first husband, James Hamilton on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 @ 11 a.m.
