Edward Roberts

Edward Fayte Roberts, 71, lifelong resident of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, November 27, 2017 at a local hospital. He owned and managed Main Street Transfer & Storage Company Inc. with his late wife, Sandra for over 45 years. He was an avid fisherman and served in the US Army Color Guard. He was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his parents, T.J. and Myrtle Roberts of Tiftonia and his wife, Sandra L. Roberts.

He is survived by his son, Robert C. Barger of Harrison; brother, Gene Roberts of Chattanooga; grandson, Robert Matthew Barger and granddaughter Lilian Janette Barger, both of Harrison; nephew, Jon (Amy) Roberts of Ringgold; great nieces, Jillian and Sophie and great nephew, McGuire.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 4-8 pm at the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral. Graveside service will be Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 12:30 pm at Lakewood Memory Gardens East with Robert Barger officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his wife Sandra.
