Emily Leanne Brooks, 33, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024.  Her life was a precious gift, cut short far too soon.  She shared her beautiful soul with us for 33 memorable years, leaving a unique mark on the lives of those who knew her.  Emily was born on April 29, 1991 and was gifted with boundless creativity, intelligence and talent, enlightening the world around her.  With a heart of compassion and love, she adored her family and friends.  Her adventurous spirit led her to explore the creative outdoors, where she found peace and joy.

Emily cherished her loved ones and was always there to lend a helping hand.  Her childlike nature – her curiosity, playfulness and sense of wonder – was a constant source of inspiration to those around her.  She had so many beautiful personality traits.  Emily was kind, always treating others with empathy.  She was imaginative and creative.  She was a protector, gentle but fierce.  Emily was radiantly beautiful and could make anyone around her laugh with her own contagious and distinct laughter.

Let us celebrate Emily's life, and the moments of beauty, love and laughter that she shared with us.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jerry Pope and Martha Seay.

Emily is survived by her loving parents; her father, Johnny Brooks (Roxanne), and her mother, Regina Ingram (Billy); sisters, Jessica Brooks and Sara Brooks; nephews, Jonah Hupp and Bodhi Workman; grandparents, Jean Pope, Frances Ingram and Jerry Ingram, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 from 4 - 8 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home @ Hwy 58. A visitation will also be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 12 – 2 p.m.  A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Brent Pope officiating.
