Evelyn Dushek, 62, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019 at the Hospice of Chattanooga Care Center in Chattanooga, TN following a long battle with a lung disease. Evelyn was a resident of the East Ridge Retirement Center with many dear friends. She was deeply loved by her family and friends and she loved them just as much. Evelyn was a fighter and a survivor and she never gave up, even at the very end. She was so appreciative of anything that was done for her. She will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Dushek and parents, Reuben and Reggie Cohen.

Mrs. Dushek is survived by her son, Louis (Laura) Dushek; granddaughters, Haley and Skylar; grandson, Reuben; brothers, Jack (Sheila) Cohen of Pembrooke Pines, FL, Stuart (Shirley) Cohen and Alan (Lisa) Cohen of Chattanooga, TN, Marc Cohen of Kingsport, TN, Jerry Cohen of Cape Coral, FL; sisters, Paula (Chaim) Bibas of Atlantic City, NJ and Davina (Alberto) LaVerde of Louisville, KY; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 26, 2019 from 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home @ Hwy 58. A graveside service will immediately follow at Harrison Cemetery, where Evelyn will be laid to rest.
