Flossie Ford, 97, went to be with the Lord on April 18, 2018. She was a native of LaFollette, Tennessee but lived most of her life in the Chattanooga area. Flossie was of the Baptist Faith and an avid Bible reader.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John (Speed) and Evelyn Rydner Durham; husband Hubert Ford also an infant daughter Ruby Faye Ford.

Those she left to cherish her memory are two sons, James and Charles Ford; daughters, Evelyn Johnson, Sharon Hood, Mary Howard, Phyllis Stokes, Jeanetta (Rodney) Long, Gail Shadwick and Deborah Tanner; 37 grandchildren, several great and great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday and Friday, April 19th and 20th, 2018 from 4 – 8:00 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Saturday April 21, 2018 at 11:00 in the chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Minister Tracy Daniels officiating.  Interment will follow at Peabody Cemetery in LaFollette, Tennessee.
