Frances Moore Davenport, 92, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026.  She spent most of her life in the Chattanooga area and was a devoted member of Tyner Church of Christ where she was a Sunday school teacher.  Frances was employed as a secretary with the McMinn County Manager's Office.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Davenport; parents, Clarence and Beulah Moore; brothers, Edwin Moore, and sisters, Mildred Cagle, Aileen Colins and Joyce Hall.

Frances is survived by her sons, Ronald K. Davenport of Smyrna, GA and daughter, Sharon Gaston (Jim) of Moody, AL; sister, Flora Moore; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 from 10 a..m. – 11 a.m. at Turner Funeral Home.  A chapel service will follow at 11 a.m. with Minister Drew Kizer officiating.

Frances will be laid to rest in Chattanooga National Cemetery with her husband, Charles.
