Franklin Eugene Scoggins, 92, passed away on December 6, 2021.  Franklin was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga (the Snow Hill Community), and a member of Bayside Baptist Church.  He graduated from Ooltewah High School in 1947.  Franklin was a United States veteran, serving in the Marine Corps during the Korean War (1950-1952).  He was the last survivor of ten children.

Franklin was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Minnie Scoggins; four brothers, and five sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Donna Scoggins; son, Gene Scoggins, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 from 3 – 7 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home, Hwy 58 Chapel.  A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Pastor Grady Cooper officiating.

Franklin will be laid to rest in Lakewood Memorial Gardens East.
