Fred G. Curd, Jr., 84 of East Ridge, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2019.  Fred was a Korean War veteran and lifelong resident of East Ridge, Tennessee.  He was the former owner and carpenter of Bilt-Rite Construction Company.  Fred was a well-known baseball coach with the recreation league at East Lake Community Center and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred G. and Clara Dempsey Curd, Sr.; sisters, Ginger White and Doris Smith; daughter, Dawn Elisabeth Curd Alexander.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years Reva Jo Curd; children, Richard Curd, Stephen (Tiah) Curd, David Curd; grandchildren, Jacob (Brandi) Curd, Chloe (Jake) Padgett, India Curd, Faith, Star, Skye, Hope and Robert Alexander, Corbin and Madilyn Curd.

The funeral service will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at 9:30 a.m.

The family would like to sincerely thank the staff and nurses at the Bridges of South Pittsburg for the excellent care and attention they have given Fred these last few years.
