Garry Smith

Garry Ray Smith, 60, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017, at his home surrounded by his family. He was an avid Tennessee Volunteer football fan.

He was preceded in death by his father, George R Smith and his grandparents, Ernest and Tennie Smith and Samuel and Ruth Allen.

He is survived by his mother, Hazel Smith, of Ooltewah; brother, Larry (Lynda) Smith, of Georgetown; sisters, Pam Boswell, of Providence, North Carolina, Rhonda (Wayne) Adams, of Harrison and Vickie (Rodney) Wolfe, of Ooltewah; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, 1 great great niece and 1 great great nephew.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 4-8 pm and on Thursday from 1 until the hour of service at 2:00 PM in the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home. Pastor Joe Kelly and Richard McKeehan officiating. Interment will follow at New McDonald Cemetery. Pallbearers, Christopher Adams, Scott Smith, Jason Tankersley, Jason Hodges, Mason Killingsworth, Brian Killingsworth and Robert Hardin; Honorary Pallbearers, Ricky Bailey and Kerry Murray.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Avalon Hospice.
