Gene Hardin

Harold Eugene "Gene" Hardin, 77, lifelong resident of Georgetown, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 25, 2016. Gene dearly loved his family and his pets. He devoted many years growing a vegetable garden prior to and after he retired.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Jean Hardin; siblings, Winford Hardin, Betty Gilbreath, Louise Gilbreath and Geneva Staton.
He is survived by Shirley Dobbs and 2 sons, Randal (Sharmon) Hardin and David (Debby) Hardin; grandchildren, Benjamin Hardin, Krista Stephenson, Rebecca (Chuckie) Fischer, Andrew Hardin, Amanda Henry and Sara (Leo) Hilzendeger; great grandchildren, Tristan Fischer, Noah Fischer, Madison Fischer, Levi Hardin, Jett Fischer, Connor Hilzendeger and Kaigen Mulkey; 2 brothers, Edward and Lavon Hardin; sister, Wanda Neely; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Grasshopper Cemetery in Birchwood.
