Geraldine "Gerry" Stevenson, 89, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024.  She was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and a faithful member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church.  Gerry was a graduate of Central High School, class of 1958.  A natural social butterfly, she thrived in the company of others.  She was an avid participant in aerobics class at the local Y, where she not only stayed fit, but also formed many friendships.  Gerry also loved to dine out – whether a lively dinner with family or an outing with friends, she found great joy in sharing food and conversation.  She also cherished spending time with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be deeply missed.

Gerry was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Tommy Stevenson, her son, Tommy Stevenson, her daughter, Patricia Prince, and her brothers, Jack Moyers and Hurley Couch.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Stevenson (Charlotte) and Danny Stevenson (Todd O'Dell); grandchildren, Mandy Williams, Lindsey Taylor (Bryan) and Magen Stevenson (Jason Vance); great-grandchildren, Brandon Williams, Troy Taylor, and Anna Taylor, and special friends, Alma, Ruthie, and Sherry.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, January, 6, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her husband, Tommy.

Dr. Adam McKee will be officiating the service.
