Gloria "Blanche" Blair, 85, departed this world and went home to be with the Lord, November 4, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Pete and Marie Banther and the wife of the late Henry Blair. She was a member of Gamble Road Baptist church, Ms. Blair was a lifelong resident of Harrison and Birchwood area. Blanche was a loving mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Janice Minnick; son's Timmy Blair and Bobby Murphy; brothers, Dewitt and Wayne Banther and Larry Rogers; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; son-in-law Ronnie Akins.

Ms. Blair is survived by her sons, Calvin "Jim" (Sarah) Blair of Birchwood, David Blair of Birchwood; daughters, Debbie (David) Friddell of Ooltewah, Charlotte Akins of Birchwood; Sister, Mary Hunt of Gary Indiana, nineteen grandchildren and thirty-nine great grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from 4 - 8 p.m. in the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday November 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., in the Funeral Home Chapel,  with Minister Earl Farris officiating. Pallbears will be grandsons. Blanche will be laid to rest next to her husband in New McDonald Cemetery.
