Gordon Lee Masengale Jr.'s Obituary
Gordon Lee Masengale Jr., 75, of Harrison, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017. He was a member of the Hope Sunday School Class at St. John United Methodist Church. He loved music and enjoyed collecting vinyl records. In his early life, he was a member of Forrest Avenue United Methodist Church. He attended G. Russell Brown Elementary, Northside Jr. High and graduated in 1961 from Chattanooga Central High School. He began his career with the Tennessee Department of Transportation. After an absence of many years, He returned to work there, ending his career upon retirement.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carline Masengale; parents, Gordon Lee Sr. and Corrine Masengale.
He was survived by his son, Gordon Lee Masengale III; daughter, Susan (Brian) Grow.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from 4-8 pm at Turner Funeral Home on Highway 58. Service will be held Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 11am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens East. The Hope Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
