Greta Van Opdorp

Greta Faye Broyles Van Opdorp, 58, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017. She was a native of Greeneville, TN and lived here in Chattanooga for over 30 years. She had a great love of music and enjoyed being outdoors.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William M. and Stella F. Broyles; brother, Gerald Broyles.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Van Opdorp of Chattanooga, TN; sisters, Gwen (Eddie) Berryhill and Gerri (Frankie) Shelton, both of Greeneville, TN, Gladys (Bill) Holt and Glenda (David) Davis, both of Knoxville, TN, Gina Gass of Thorton, Colorado; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 5pm to 7pm with the funeral service starting at 7pm in the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Fugatt and nephew Blaine Cox officiating.

An additional visitation will be held from 12:30-2pm the following day, Thursday, September 28, 2017, with funeral service following at 2pm at Philadelphia Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Limestone, TN with Tommy Collins officiating. Burial will be there in the church cemetery.
