Harold Stewart, 86, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, kindness, and dedication to his family, friends, church, and community.

A proud graduate of Tyner High School, Harold built a career that spanned nearly 50 years in the television and electronics department at Sears. Known for his knowledge, integrity, and willingness to help others, he earned the respect of both his coworkers and the many customers who relied on his expertise over the decades.

Harold was a faithful and active member of Bayside Baptist Church, where he found great joy in worship, fellowship, and serving alongside his church family.

He was also an enthusiastic member of the Dahlia Society for more than 20 years, serving as its treasurer and contributing his time and talents to the organization. His love of gardening extended far beyond flowers, and he took special pride in growing abundant crops of okra and tomatoes each season.

When he wasn't working or tending his garden, Harold enjoyed spending time on the golf course, fishing, and being outdoors. Whether sharing gardening tips, talking with friends, or enjoying a quiet day on the water, he appreciated life's simple pleasures and the relationships he built along the way.

Harold will be remembered for his dependable nature, gentle spirit, strong work ethic, and generous heart. His life was a blessing to those who knew him, and his memory will continue to live on through the many lives he touched.

Harold was preceded in death by his son, Eddie Stewart; siblings, JT Stewart, Irene Groves, Edna Robbins, and Jean Clinton, as well as his parents.

He is survived by his son, Ken Stewart (Summer Baugh); daughter, Lisa Stewart, and grandchildren, Jeff Johnson and Jessica Kay Johnson.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 6, 2026 from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home. A visitation will also be held on Friday, August 7, 2026 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. The service will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Mike James officiating.

Harold will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery.
