Helen Louise Hipp Johnson, 88, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 17, 2016 in Franklin, Tennessee with her family by her side. She was a native of Chattanooga and graduated from Central High School. She was blessed with the gift of playing the piano and beautifully sang, providing entertainment for service men of WW II. She was married to her best friend and love of her life, William David Johnson. They were married in 1946 at Patten Chapel and had 7 children. She was a devoted and loving mother and was adored by her children. She loved her church and was a faithful member of Bartlebaugh Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William David Johnson and sons, David Samuel and Richard Thomas Johnson.

Survivors include her sons, William D Johnson III of Chickamauga, Georgia, Robert Ross Johnson of Georgetown, Kentucky and Michael Stephen Johnson of Chattanooga; daughters, Debra Louise Fariello of Independence, Kentucky and Rebecca Brennan of Franklin, Tennessee; 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 in the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Don Ferguson and Bob Petty officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery. You may visit our online guest book at www.turnerfamilyfuneralhome.com
