Helen Bernice Pruitt, 90, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2021.  She was originally from Oneida, TN, but was a resident of Chattanooga for the last 49 years.  Helen was of the Baptist faith.  She retired from Dairy Gold in 2000 and loved aerobics.

She was preceded in death by her husband Leon Pruitt; parents, Reverend Taylor and Ada Pierce; stepson, Johnny Pruitt; brothers, Roy, Ronald, and Ralph Pierce, and sisters, Ivona Dixon, Maxine Brewster, and Carol Thomas.

Helen is survived by her stepson, Steve Daniels; stepdaughters, Wanda Simons and Donna Hames; sisters, Naomi Jeffrey, Alice Slaven, and Barbara Walker; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home, Hwy 58.  The funeral service will follow @ 1 p.m. in the chapel with Brother Mike Manning officiating.

Helen will be laid to rest in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
