James Robert Lewis

James Robert Lewis, 72, went to be with the Lord August 28, 2016, he lived most of his life in Chattanooga, he was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Lewis retired from the City School System after 35 years; he worked in the Woodshop Department and also, the Architectural Surfaces.
Mr. Lewis is preceded in death by his wife; Joyce Lewis, a son Anthony Lewis and several siblings. He is survived by sons; Michael "Renee" Lewis, Rossville, Stephen Lewis of Chattanooga, one daughter, Kristi "Keith" Hodge of Ooltewah. Grandchildren; Jennifer Eubanks, Kacie Lewis, Jason, Beth and Sara Hodge, great-grandson; Cooper Eubanks.
The family will receive friends Tuesday August 30, and Wednesday August 31, 2016 from 5:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M. Funeral service will be in the Turner Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday September 1, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. Officiating will be Rev. Ron Perry. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
