James H. Pitner III

James Harold "Jamie" Pitner III, 57, of Chattanooga went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 17, 2016.

He was a lifelong member of Northside Presbyterian Church and was a graduate of Hixson High School "Class of 1976".

Jamie was very active in the community. He was a Scout leader for many years and was a longtime Riverbend Volunteer. He was employed at American Display & Fixture.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; mother, Christina Stegall Pitner; nephew, Floyd Harold Dean Pitner.

He is survived by his father, James Harold 'Jim' Pitner, Jr; one brother, John (Kathi) Pitner; two sisters, Julia Pitner and Jennifer (Phil) Middleton; aunts, uncles; several nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews.

There will be a Celebration of Life service on Sunday, May 29th at 2: p.m. at Northside Presbyterian Church with Dr. Paul Rader officiating. Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends Sunday in the Centennial Room immediately following the service.
