James "Eddie" Richie, 51, passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021.  He was a 1989 graduate of Hixson High School.  Eddie was employed at Coddington Enterprises for over 20 years.  He was an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jimmy Talley Pitman, and grandmother, Thelma Richie.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Patricia Richie; son, Logan Richie; daughter, Taylor Rhodes (Nathan); grandchild, Levi Axel Rhodes; father, Kenneth Richie; niece, Abbe Ramsey, and nephew, Garet Ramsey.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 11 – 1 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home, Hwy 58 Chapel.  A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Norris Clift officiating.
