James "Jim" Roger Holder, 52, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.  He was born on March 16, 1970 to Glen Roger "Tag" and Peggy Holder.  Raised in Birchwood, Jim never met a stranger.  He was always talkative, friendly and social.  Jim was a member of the Birchwood Church of God of Prophecy in Birchwood, TN.  He also loved to coon hunt and fish and belonged to the Birchwood Coon Club.

Jim was married to the love of his life for 31 years and was a very loving and affectionate father, as well as a very proud Papaw.  He found his perfect career as a pawn broker, working in Chattanooga, Cleveland and Dayton.  Jim was Mr. Fix-It and flipped houses with his wife for many years.  He knew how to do anything and he made a lasting impact on everyone he met.  He will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Glen Roger "Tag" Holder.

Jim is survived by his wife, Elisa Holder; children, Ashley Hayes (Cody), Hailey Holder, Brett Holder (Morgan); mother, Peggy Holder (who carried him until his boots hit her knees); sisters, Rhonda Holder (Doyne), Michell Leamon; brother, Chuck Duncan (Vickie); granddaughter, Emerson Holder; nieces and nephews, Jason Lewis (Brooke), Stephanie Carter (Brian), Cody Lewis (Hailey), Crystal Burke (Andall), Heather Hutcheson, Elizabeth Morris and Whitney Cordell.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Gamble Rd Baptist Church, 11703 Dolly Pond Rd, Birchwood, TN 37308.  A visitation will also be held at the church on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.  A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Brother Ken Nope officiating.

Jim will be laid to rest in Holder Cemetery.
