Jewell LeRoy, 91, of East Brainerd, TN, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 1, 2022.  Jewell was a member of Calvary Church of God.  Her gift and purpose in life was to serve God and others.  She loved to sing and was a devoted prayer warrior!  One of Jewell's greatest joys was singing old time gospel songs with her best friend, Suzie Q, after dinner.  She always ended visits with singing a song.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny H. Jenkins and Della Ada Belle Jolly Jenkins; former husband, John H. LeRoy, Sr.; son, John "Hughie" (Louise) LeRoy, Jr., as well as six siblings.

Jewell is survived by her children, Marilyn (Eddie) Ivester, Roberta "Rikki" (James) Simpson and her children by another mother, Margie (Tony) Sloan and Charles Carmichael; grandchildren, Beth Anne (Scott) Bowman, Mindy (Scott) Carpenter, James Robert (Heather) Simpson, and Kara (Ian) Conrey; eleven great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Calvary Church of God on 3613 7 ^th Ave in Chattanooga at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 10, 2022 with Ian Conrey officiating.

The family asks for memorial contributions to be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the Calvary Church of God, 3613 7 ^th Ave in Chattanooga.
