Jimmy C Bettis' Obituary
Jimmy Bettis, 81, passed away Friday, September 7, 2018. Mr. Bettis was the son of the late John and Edna Neely-Bettis. He lived most of life in the Harrison area. Jimmy was a well known home builder and the owner of Bettis Construction and Drywall Company. He was a member of the Harrison Masonic Lodge # 114, Scottish Rite and the Alhambra Shriners, where he was a member of the Harley Davidson Shrine Unit.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Vicky Bettis.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Bettis; sons, Jimmy (Marcia) Bettis, Troy Bettis and fiancée Lana; grandchildren, Blake and Lila Bettis, Katie and Ben Stead and Ashley Ateca; great-grandson, Jude Ateca; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, September 10, 2018 at the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Minister Paul Luttrell officiating. There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.
