John Michael Denney "Mickey", 82, passed away on April 9, 2025.  Mickey was born and raised in Chattanooga and received an associate degree from Chattanooga State in electrical technology.  He was employed as an electrician for various employers over the years.  Mickey was a published author of a book called The Life and Times of John Michael Denney.  He was also a talented painter, even inventing a style of art called "perceptionism".

Mickey was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Mary Denney; daughter, Klara Louise Denney, and parents, John and Priscilla Denney.

He is survived by his son, Charles Franklin Denney; daughters, Anna Michelle Denney and Dorothy Jean Mussared; brothers, Floyd Denney and Dexter Denney; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery on Friday, April 18, 2025 at 1:30 p.m.

Mickey will be laid to rest in Chattanooga National Cemetery with his wife, Rose Mary.
