Obituary

John Edward Padgett, 85, gained his heavenly wings on Friday, February 4, 2022. He was a lifetime resident of Harrison and of the Church of God faith.  John was a truck driver, employed with Nu Foam and Adm for over 56 years and he loved every mile he spent on the road.  He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend and co-worker and will always be remembered for being a loving, caring, selfless man.  He would give anyone the shirt off of his back.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Padgett; parents, William and Angie Padgett; brother, Billy Padgett, and sisters, Mary Lou Posey and Juanita Robinson.

He is survived by his daughters, Christa (Rick) Hendershot, Heather (George) Crawley, and Cynthia (Mike) Vanwassenhove; sister, Patsy Nicholas; grandchildren, Taylor Padgett, Laurel Crawley, Morgan Crawley and Bailey Crawley, as well as great-grandchild, Tuff "Elrod" Wilder Morrison.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home @ Hwy 58. A memorial service will follow @ 2 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Ray Winkle officiating.
