Johnny Stinnett
Johnny R Stinnett, 84, answered the call of his savior, Jesus Christ and went home on Thursday, September 8, 2016. He was a native of Dayton, Tennessee but had lived in Chattanooga for over 45 years. Johnny was a veteran of the US Army, having served during the Korean War. He was a hard working father who loved his family and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Johnny was a member of Oakhill Baptist Church in Dayton, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Lillie Stinnett.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Alice; brother, Earl Dean (Shelby) Stinnett; sons, Rusty Stinnett, Jimmy Stinnett, Eddie Joe Nation and Tim Stinnett; daughters, Debbie Stinnett, Sheila Garrett, Pamela Henderson and Elizabeth (Robert) Carter; granddaughter-daughter, Rachel (Demetrius) Duncan; 22 grandchildren; many great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren and his special fur baby, Blossom. Johnny will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, September 12, 2016 from 2-8 pm in the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 1:30 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in National Cemetery with Military Honors.
