Josephine Lewis "The Consummate Gardener", 87, of East Ridge, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, June 1, 2020.  Ms. Lewis was a member of Spring Creek Church of God in East Ridge.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 60 years, Dewey F. Lewis.

Ms. Lewis is survived by her oldest son and daughter-in-law, Dewey Ray "Duke" and Melissa Lewis of East Ridge; her youngest son and daughter-in-law, Don Allen and Ethel Lewis of East Ridge; grandsons, Ben Lewis and Daniel Lewis; great-grandchildren, Chloe and Ethan Lewis, and several extended family members.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 from 3 – 7 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home @ Hwy 58.  A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 11 a.m. in the Turner Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Benny Mills officiating.

Ms. Lewis will be laid to rest in Chattanooga National Cemetery with her husband, Dewey.
