Juanita "Nita" Harris Dunn, 74, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023.  Nita was born on February 11, 1949 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  She graduated from Central High School in 1967, followed by McKenzie Business College.  After college she worked in the healthcare field and retired from the Hamilton County Health Department.  She married the love of her life, Bobby, in 1969.  The greatest joy of her life was being a mother to her sons, and later, a grandmother to Macy Gay.  She never hesitated to share her love for her family with everyone she met.  Her sense of humor, love for her family and her kind spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

Nita was preceded in death by her parents, Roy N. and Viola H. Harris.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby Dunn; sons, Matt Dunn (Jennifer) and Alan Dunn (Amanda); sister, Ann Rogers; brother, Billy Wayne Harris (Jean); granddaughter, Macy Gay, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Turner Funeral Home @ Hwy 58 from 4 – 8 p.m.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 2 p.m. in the Turner Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Ronnie Phillips officiating.

Nita will be laid to rest in Chattanooga National Cemetery on Monday, June 19, 2023 at 10:30 a.m.
