Obituary

Julia Johns McMillian, 82, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 18, 2023.  She was born on October 11, 1940 to Chester and Hazel Johns of Ooltewah, Tennessee, where she remained a lifelong resident.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased in death by her brother, Gene Johns, and her sisters, Agnes Nunez, Evelyn Laffoon, and Patricia Combs.

Judy is survived by her brother, Bill Johns and her sister, Pearl Lee; three children and their spouses, Deborah King (Bill), Dayna DeOcampo (Cesar), and her son, Bill Weatherford; eight grandchildren, and seventeen great grandchildren.

Being surrounded by her family is what brought her the most joy in life.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 22, 2023 from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home @ Hwy 58.  A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at 1 p.m. in the chapel with her great-grandson, Daniel Perry Deas II, officiating.

Our beloved Mother will be laid to rest in our Family Cemetery on White Oak Estates with a private ceremony.
