Katherine Ann Johnson, 92, passed away on October 23, 2018 at Stoneridge in Corinth, MS.  She was born on August 24, 1926 in Alamo, TN to the late David and Tennie Medlin.  She was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and a member of Terra Vista Baptist Church.  She retired after 30 years as the cosmetic manager at Eckerd Drug store on Hwy 58.  After retiring, Katherine worked at Ricky Restaurant on 4 ^th St. where her sister Dee was the owner. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.  Ms. Johnson moved to Corinth, MS in April of 2018 to be close to family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Johnson; parents, David and Tennie Medlin and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son, Stan (Linda) Johnson of Lincoln, AL; daughter, Valerie (Jerry) Latch of Corinth, MS; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Turner Funeral Home @ Hwy 58 with Brother Sterling Jetton officiating.  Katherine will be laid to rest in Old McDonald Cemetery, Ooltewah, TN.
